The Andrew Dougherty Vision Foundation is preparing to join a vision care campaign scheduled for Oct. 23-25, 2026, in Ksar El Kebir, Morocco, while inviting volunteers to express interest in this mission and future trips.

The Moroccan Medical Association for Solidarity, known as AMMS, invited the foundation to participate in the three-day campaign in Larache province. Its invitation outlines eye consultations, cataract surgery, preventive care and training for local community health workers.

ADVF is seeking ophthalmologists and other medical professionals, along with general volunteers, storytellers and people with skills that can support mission operations. The foundation’s volunteer page provides separate interest forms for medical and general volunteers.

People who cannot participate in October can also join the volunteer roster to be considered for upcoming mission opportunities. Submitting an interest form does not confirm placement on a mission; participation will depend on the needs of the trip and coordination with the foundation.

The October campaign follows ADVF’s participation in June missions with Moroccan partners in Tiddas and Moulay Bouazza. AMMS reported 909 ophthalmology consultations and 231 cataract surgeries across those campaigns.

Dates, locations and participation details for additional missions and initiatives will be shared as plans are confirmed. Volunteers can register their interest now to stay connected with future opportunities.

Visit ADVF’s Volunteer for Morocco page to apply for the October mission or join the roster for future trips.
