Preparing for Impact: How the 2025 Gala Fuels Our Morocco Medical Mission
The resounding success of our recent gala has created a powerful wave of momentum, directly fueling our upcoming medical mission to Northern Morocco. With over $400,000 in combined support, we are in the final, crucial phase of preparation.
The Foundation: Gala Success Translates to Mission Fuel
The generosity witnessed at our gala is the cornerstone of this endeavor. We are profoundly grateful to our community for raising $107,000 in vital funds and securing over $300,000 in essential in-kind donations from partners like Alcon and Bausch + Lomb.
This isn't just about numbers. This support represents:
The advanced intraocular lenses that will replace clouded cataracts with clear vision.
The specialized surgical equipment and sterile supplies needed for hundreds of procedures.
The training materials and resources that will empower local medical professionals.
Every dollar and every donated item has a direct pathway to a patient in Morocco, turning charitable giving into tangible hope and healing.

December 22–26, 2025
The Core Clinical Mission: Five days of intensive surgical work and training in Northern Morocco.
Dual-Purpose Objectives
During the mission, our team of ophthalmologists, clinicians, and volunteers will execute a dual-purpose plan:
Direct Patient Care
Perform sight-restoring cataract surgeries and comprehensive eye exams for hundreds of men, women, and children in underserved communities.
Capacity Building
Work side-by-side with Moroccan doctors and nurses, transferring skills and knowledge to strengthen the region's long-term eye care capabilities.
The "Why": Addressing a Solvable Global Crisis
More than 90% of global vision loss is preventable or treatable
Yet millions remain needlessly blind due to a lack of access. Our Morocco mission is a direct, strategic response to this gap.
Our Sustainable Approach
This is not a short-term intervention. It is a committed step in a long-term strategy to empower local health systems. By combining direct service with professional training, we help build a future where communities have the permanent capacity to address blindness themselves.
We go to restore sight, and in doing so, we help restore dignity, independence, and economic opportunity for individuals, families, and entire communities.
