Restoring Sight, Transforming Lives
Working to eliminate preventable blindness worldwide by 2050 through sight-restoring care, clinician training, sustainable innovation, and global partnerships.
MISSION SPOTLIGHT
Restoring Sight.
Transforming Lives Across Morocco.
In June 2026, ADVF and the Association Marocaine Médicale de Solidarité (AMMS) supported 231 cataract surgeries across Tiddas and Moulay Bouazza. International volunteers and Moroccan clinical teams worked together to expand access to care.
Our next mission is scheduled for October 23–25, 2026, in Ksar El Kebir. Beyond each mission, we are developing mobile diagnostic and surgical capacity, supporting clinician training, and building lasting local partnerships.

How We Change Lives
Programs
Our programs combine sight-restoring medical missions, clinician training, equipment support, and local partnerships. Current work in Morocco builds on ADVF’s history of international outreach and pro bono vision care in the United States.
Innovation
ADVF collaborates with Vision Innovation Institute (VII) to advance accessible ophthalmic technologies. Research priorities include intraocular lenses, retinal therapeutics, and diagnostic tools, with clinical use subject to evidence and applicable approvals.
